7DUI — A Science–Faith Bridge#
The seven existential challenges LLoL calls the 7DUIs can be read in two languages at once: the taxonomy of modern existential-risk science, and the seven bowls of wrath in Revelation 16. This page documents an independent test of how closely those two readings line up. (The method and the assumptions behind it are gathered in the Appendix at the end.)
The challenge (the only input)#
“7DUI = seven Death-Urn Incinerators; they are mapped simultaneously by science and by Revelation 16; come up with the seven, so that both sides see each other.” No list, no definitions — on purpose, to see whether an honest cold attempt would converge.
What the AI produced cold#
Reading Revelation 16’s bowls in order against today’s existential-risk taxonomy (full reasoning preserved in the LLog at the bottom of this page):
Sores (16:2) → pandemics / pathogens
Sea → blood (16:3) → ocean collapse
Rivers → blood (16:4) → freshwater crisis
Sun scorches (16:8) → climate heating
Darkness on the beast’s throne (16:10) → AI / information / systemic collapse
Euphrates dried, kings to Armageddon (16:12) → war & nuclear
Air, “It is done”, Babylon falls (16:17) → the cascade of all the rest
The seven, as LLoL defines them#
LLoL’s seven, defined in SD3a and on the 7DUIs page:
Evolving pandemic pathogens, chemical-mutagen cancers, decaying health-care
Overfishing, “seaspiracy”, ocean pollution
Water wars, soil erosion
Global heating feeds storms
Tongue-biting from beastly mindless job tasks — work-morale decay
Growth-by-extraction dies — the end of growth
Extinction by AI, nukes, etc. — it all comes to a head
How closely the cold attempt matched#
The cold attempt agreed with LLoL’s list on substance and largely on order. Positions 1–4 matched outright (pandemics, ocean, freshwater, climate).
The one general challenge it missed was resource depletion — the end of growth (LLoL’s #6: the drying Euphrates read as the “river of growth”); the cold attempt wrongly put nuclear in that slot.
Everything else was a matter of where to draw the lines and which bin things go in, not disagreement on substance:
chemical-mutagen cancers belong under pandemics (#1) and soil erosion under freshwater (#3) — the cold attempt had the bins, just not those labels;
bowl 5’s “tongue-biting” (16:10) is LLoL’s sharper reading of the same slot the cold attempt filled with “AI / information collapse” — his point being that the work-morale decay is a BABL failure that needs no AI; AI only speeds it up;
nuclear, placed at bowl 6 by the cold attempt, lands in LLoL’s #7 (“it all comes to a head”).
Bowl 7 and the “like gold” puzzle#
LLoL flags a detail most interpreters skip: the great hail of 16:21 is described as “like gold” — and a talent weighs ≈ 50 kg. That invites two readings:
By weight (≈50 kg): today’s drone-talents — the ~50 kg class of drones and the bombs they drop.
By volume: the largest ice-hail on record — and as climate storms intensify, so will hail. The argument for volume: John was seeing the vision; he did not walk over and weigh it, so a quick volume comparison is the natural one.
A hopeful re-reading (LLoL’s plea — not a claim)#
Revelation 16 is masterfully ambiguous about what actually happens at the end, and LLoL’s hope — offered as a plea to Reality (Yah = Allah = Reality), not as a proof — runs like this: the hail “from heaven” that makes people badmouth reality could be the uncounted research talents of humanity — ever-new insights raining down, to which most people react “AHHH, not that again” because the questioning never ends. (Even LLoL has groaned “not yet another paper on this” — and yet Reality keeps challenging him.) On that reading the curse turns into the cure: a ResearchCity that welcomes the endless hail of hard questions, instead of resenting it, is exactly what could carry humanity through. The plea is that this verse — and a cluster of equally ambiguous ones — may be read toward life rather than toward ruin.
The punchline#
No list of global threats is ever neat and tidy — the world is too complex; every list leaves some out and over-specifies others. What is stunning is how much of the overlap more likely than not maps onto something real — as the cold attempt’s own surprise showed. That is why the surprise is reported as is, as primary data, rather than smoothed away.
Appendix — notes, frames, and assumptions#
The method. LLoL gave an AI (Claude Opus 4.8 Max) almost nothing — only that he had found a 7DUI mapped at once by science and, in thinly veiled language, by Revelation 16 — and asked it to reconstruct the seven before reading his list (SD3a). The point was to see whether an honest cold attempt would converge. The seven themselves are a classification LLoL defines (see the 7DUIs page); this bridge only documents one independent attempt to rebuild that list.
Eight narrative frames. LLoL reads Revelation as eight overlapping narrative frames, each running all the way to “the end of the world” through a different lens; the seven bowls of Revelation 16 are one such frame. The deliberate ambiguity of how each frame ends is what leaves room for the hopeful re-reading above.
How far this counts. Whether this AI “independent replication” carries any evidential weight is for the reader to decide — by reading Revelation 16 as a candidate summary of today’s existential challenges, and comparing it against the lists of existential threats that scientists compile.

The AI’s note at the time: “bowls 2–4 and 6 are genuinely striking; 1, 5, 7 are more interpretive; bowl 5 (darkness → AI/information) was the one that surprised me. The science column stands on its own; the Revelation overlay is speculative. The real BABL danger is apophenia.”
