Existential Questions

Is it possible to keep humanity from destroying itself with God’s help?

If yes, can a gentle kind reasonable plan be envisioned to explain how?

If yes, can that plan be written down to ask for help and for feedback?

If yes, will enough people support reviewing such a plan to save the world?

Will people do that even if complex problems require a complex plan?

The world is complex. Like a hairball. Like the Gordian Knot. The temptation is to use the approach of Alexander the Great who used violence to cut the Gordian Knot of how to rule the world. It works for a moment. Then it self-destructs. This “solves” the Gordian Knot, but not really.

To really solve the Gordian Knot of how to get to a better word requires gentle kind reasonableness, the life-trifecta that has the power to overcome the death-trifecta of oversimplifying overcomplicating overreach.

It’s easy to read sentences like that, but it takes lifetimes to grasp their meaning. There are many ways to express this discovery as everything is connected in Reality. For example, it’s like coming out of the darkness into the light of love and truth. Because only the Truth can set us free and only in Love can we see the Truth.

Yet how can such high-level abstractions become a practically lived reality in today’s complex world?

That is where the rubber hits the road or shall we say missiles hit their targets?

The Flying Scroll as a tiny stack

The Flying Scroll Exhibition presented here is LLoL’s best attempt so far to distill what it might take to gentle kind reasonably save the world for real in a way that will actually improve the world and not merely change it by making it worse through yet another round of disappointed hopes.

To avoid raising false hopes, LLoL front-loaded the worst risks, such as to guard true hope as much as possible. This was done as follows:

  1. Testing this plan extensively in private against known experiences in order to anticipating failures as early as possible to best shield the public from avoidable risks.

  2. Maximally distribute the cost of review and implementing, such that what serves the community gets paid by the community and what is paid for by the community gets bound to serve the community worldwide.

  3. Define a “Canary in Earth’s Mine”, analogous to the Canary in a coal mine, such that all risk at its earliest, most dangerous stage of adoption is focussed on the volunteer proposing this. Thereby, most people don’t have to worry about risks, because someone overcomes these risks for them. This is an advanced mechanism of uncertainty-capture. Simpler forms are practiced widely to keep most people safe. The Canary here is LLoL.

The outcome is this Flying Scroll poster exhibition. It offers an alternative interpretation for the stochastic inevitability of a literal interpretation of the ancient prophecy in Zechariah 5:1-4. There, in a preview of what Revelation described again later, a giant flying scroll, about the size of a modern nuclear ballistic missile, enters essentially every house to burn it to the ground.

Is this how it has to end?

Through this website LLoL attempts to persuade Reality and humanity to consider a gentle kind reasonable alternative, a non-violent symbolic interpretation that is no less real:

How about humanity instead of allowing accidental nuclear war and winter to toy with this world, it actively averts that disaster by inviting the following giant scroll of about the same size into all their houses?

Not that this works magically without doing the work of the narrow path, intensely searching, finding, evaluating better ways forward. It can work as follows if humanity chooses to avert death by default in order to live by choice:

Use the PDFs to learn how to avoid oversimplifying overcomplicating overreach, which is the core of the BABL algorithm, which is destroying the world by getting people to destroy themselves. The alternative is to learn how to consistently be gentle kind reasonable. It sounds simple, yet it is deep. It is also immensely doable with the help of Reality.

This website is dedicated to explaining how all this may work.

Here is a horizontal overview of the Flying Scroll as composed by Dr. Laurence Loewe of Laodicea, aka LLoL, because God has a good sense of humor as the book of Jonah demonstrates.

Here is a vertical view of the beautiful or terrifying gothic and romanic architecture of this abstract globalized temple for worshiping Reality:

And here is an outline of all the core posters of the Flying Scroll Exhibit. Please note the nested nature of some posters, which is why it is easy to scale this exhibition up to about 80 posters, including some supplemental information posters that didn’t fit this format.

Core posters of the Flying Scroll Exhibit arranged like a cross.

Here are the fully scalable PDFs that generated the screenshots above, for those who have a building that they do not wish to be destroyed in accidental nuclear winter and the resources to print a full-sized 5x10m copy of the flying scroll in order to plead with Reality and humanity to please spare the world and that building too.
