HELL — Historically Experienced Lessons Learned#

What is HELL?

HELL = Historically Experienced Lessons Learned — is here re-envisioned as a public database of bugs found in theological and other reasoning. These bugs matter, like in computing, due to their harmful real-world consequences. The overall goal of this HELL is to document such bugs as clearly as possible, using parables, technical details, and more, so that others may learn from them without repeating the pain. One of LLoL’s surprising matheology claims is that this form of HELL is essential to running any true Heaven.

Quickstart#

HELL documents SINs (Structurally Inconsistent Notions) caused by LIEs (Least Inconvenient Explanations) — engineering terms, not moral judgments. Each SIN is a logical contradiction in a belief system; each LIE is the inherited shortcut that caused it.

What you’ll find here:

  • Salt — adversarial review crystals, where objections (Con-) meet responses (Pro+), crystallized into coherent thematic clusters. Start here to see the strongest attacks and defenses.

  • Bugs — specific theological reasoning errors, documented with root-cause analysis at multiple levels of detail.

  • Session Logs — append-only audit trails of all research sessions.

  • MockupModels — draft papers and prototypes being developed.

For in-depth explanations of HELL’s architecture, see AHA — Any Help Available for HELL.
