ZION — Zoning Investigating Organizing Navigating#
Status: Stub. To be developed from existing references across PET, JUB, and e7Day.
Definition: ZION is the life-giving attractor in the binary attractor system (JUB th8). An agent, organization, or civilization on the ZION trajectory grows effective insight (Ie) through the life-trifecta: gentle, kind, and reasonable action that is simultaneously stable, extensible, and life-friendly.
Mechanism: ZION requires OKO self-assessment (e7Day m6.ax4): an agent that assesses itself as OKO (“I do not yet fully know”) maintains self-correction capacity, which enables the matched-OKO architecture (e7Day m6.ax3) to produce OK+ (self-correcting system). OKO is necessary but not sufficient for ZION — a free agent can stop at any time (Gen. 18 Abraham).
Formal anchor: In the Ie framework, ZION is the attractor where Ie_W(t) is unbounded and monotonically non-decreasing on average. Insight grows through the accumulated contributions of agents on hero journeys (Ie_H).
Key references in the existing system:
e7Day m6.ax3 (Matched OKO Self-Correction): two OKO verdicts produce OK+ architecture
e7Day m6.ax4 (Self-Assessment Bifurcation): OKO necessary for ZION but not sufficient
e7Day th3 (BABL Origin): ZION as the alternative attractor
JUB th8 (Binary Attractors): ZION (river-of-life) as one of exactly two long-term states
JUB ax24 (Life-Trifecta): all three cords satisfied -> ZION trajectory
JUB ax25 (Jubilee Recalibration): system-level mechanism maintaining ZION trajectory
JUB th9 (Social Ergodicity): Jubilee ensures ergodic coverage supporting ZION
e7He m0.ax5: OKO reset at hero journey start enables ZION path
e7He th7 Gate 5: perpetual hero journey cycling maintains ZION reachability
Life-trifecta (three equivalent formulations):
Ethical: gentle, kind, reasonable (Aristotle’s epieikeia)
Engineering: stable, extensible, life-friendly (Evolvix)
Decision-making: from the Tree of Life (life-giving decisions)
To be developed: Full formal model specifying state variables, evolution equations, basin boundaries, coupling to Ie_W, and the conditions under which ZION is reachable and maintainable.
