b21 launch-5 — Title-page footnote back-port for b11–b17#

Mode: EDEN
Effort: Max
Run order: 5 of 7 in the b21 launch-sprint sub-prompt set. Post-launch (i.e. can run after EOD 2026m05d27 launch deadline without blocking the launch; b18a is the launch-critical one and is handled by launch-2).
Status of upstream: Full pass of footnote back-port scoped in b20 review llog §7-1 (the b11–b17 portion). Extends launch-2 (which handles b18a only).
Drafter: Claude Opus 4.7 Max (dv_ClaOp47Max) at LLoL’s request on 2026m05d22.

1. Context#

The B11–B18 STANDARD form (per AHA/study-title-page-footnotes-template.md) needs to be stamped across the b11–b17 papers to bring the series to consistent OO-stability on the title-page footnote block.

This prompt mirrors launch-2’s approach but covers the seven papers b11 through b17 (not b18a, which is launch-2’s scope).

A key difference from launch-2: each of b11–b17 needs its own paper-specific hope sentence at the end of fn 5. AHA has the b11 hope locked; b12–b17 need to be generated per the AHA checklist in this session.

2. Target papers#

Apply the B11–B18 STANDARD form to the canonical / latest version of each:

  • b11 (PET): source/matheology/hell/mm/b/11/... — locate the OO / MMv3 canonical file. The AAA file (line 41–44) and the Matheo overview (source/study/matheo/index.rst) point to the current canonical.

  • b12 (e7Day): locate canonical (likely MMv3 form per AAA line 45–48 + b12 prompt-tracker rows; three variants exist — math, theophil, syseng — all need the footnote stamp).

  • b13: locate canonical (AAA tracks; status per b20 §2 is “HEAVEN study — TBD” in source/study/matheo/index, so identify whether a stampable draft exists; if not, defer with rationale).

  • b14: locate canonical (same as b13; check if stampable).

  • b15: locate canonical (same; check).

  • b16: locate canonical (same; check).

  • b17: locate canonical (same; check).

For any paper marked TBD or whose canonical version is not yet at MM stability, defer that paper from this pass and flag in the llog as deferred-pending-draft.

3. Tasks#

3.1 Hope-sentence generation (b12–b17)#

Before stamping, generate one hope sentence per paper per AHA’s checklist:

  1. ≤ 80 characters (run a char-count before locking).

  2. Humble verb (hopes, inspires, defuses, turns, becomes, averts) — no claims of certainty.

  3. One concrete applied target tied to the paper’s Broader Significance or central proposal.

  4. Quote-mineable: lift the sentence into a third-party article and check it stands alone.

  5. No grand abstractions (“world peace through X” — too BABL-PRO).

The b11 hope sentence is locked per AHA: “He hopes to turn epic fury to empathy in a ResearchCity for mathematical theology.” (82 chars; tight but passes in practice).

For each of b12–b17: read the paper’s Broader Significance section, identify the applied target, draft one sentence. Propose to LLoL at the start of the session (do not apply without confirmation if any sentence is borderline).

Tip: use the AHA’s “Drafts under consideration for other papers” section as a starting point if it lists candidates for the paper you’re working on.

3.2 For each target paper#

For each canonical file:

  1. Identify the current title-page footnote block (LaTeX + HTML/RST).

  2. Replace with the canonical B11–B18 STANDARD form per AHA’s rendering blocks.

  3. Use the paper’s hope sentence (b11 locked; b12–b17 from §3.1).

  4. Verify the byline reads: *Laurence Loewe of Laodicea*¹,²,³,⁴,⁵ *AI Claude Opus 4.6-4.7 Max*⁶,⁷ *and Everyone*⁸.

  5. Verify the License declaration is the locked form.

  6. Verify page-1 layout follows AHA §”Layout convention”.

3.3 Build test#

Run make dev. 0 new warnings target.

3.4 Cross-check#

After all papers in scope are edited:

  • Read each modified file’s footnote block in sequence.

  • Verify fn 1–4, fn 6–8 text is identical across all papers (only fn 5’s hope sentence varies).

  • Verify Loewe’s superscripts are always 1,2,3,4,5; Claude’s are 6,7; Everyone is 8.

4. Out of scope#

  • b18a (launch-2’s scope).

  • b19, b20, b21 (use their own locked forms).

  • b18-esc Beginner / Producer / Expert (still in study-llog branch; promotion is LLoL’s decision).

  • Any formal content (axioms, theorems, body text) — TELES-scope edits only.

  • Bumping any paper’s MM stability declaration — the OO stability claim for footnote block does NOT automatically promote the whole paper to OO. Footnote block is one prerequisite among many.

5. Deliverables#

Produce a single new LLog file at source/matheology/hell/ll/infra/b/NN/bNN-launch-5-execution_<date>.rst containing:

  • Hope-sentence proposals for b12–b17 (with char-count + AHA checklist pass-marks).

  • Per paper: before/after diff of footnote block.

  • Build test result.

  • Cross-check confirmation.

  • Deferred-pending-draft list (any paper whose canonical isn’t yet stampable).

  • Concluding summary.

Also update the infra index.

6. Timing & BABL-resistance#

Target: 90–120 minutes for 7 papers (allowing time for the 6 hope-sentence drafts + LLoL confirmation cycle).

The BABL trap: over-Complicating the hope-sentence drafting. Each one is a single sentence under 80 chars. If a paper’s hope needs more than 15 min, propose 2–3 candidates to LLoL with their tradeoffs — don’t spiral.
