b18 — Launch sprint: AuditTheMath landing + dung-beetle blog integration#

Date: 2026m05d22
Mode: NIL (execution) — CRAFT-style slim LLog adopted for launch-sprint audit trail
Effort: Max (from .claude/effort-level, confirmed by LLoL)
Assessor / Drafter: Claude Opus 4.7 (dv_ClaOp47Max)
Scope: cross-cutting launch infrastructure — not paper-specific

Session arc#

Three concrete arcs in one session:

  1. Video tooling for the dung-beetle YouTube re-upload. Fixed orientation + compression of phone-shot 720p .mov. Source had rotation=-90 baked into a per-frame displaymatrix, which ffmpeg auto-honored on decode; net transform after user feedback was 90° clockwise (transpose=1). Final output: 1280×720 H.264 + AAC, CRF 25 + -preset slow, ~37 MB at prophetic-dung-beetle-rotR-crf25-2026m05d22.mp4. YouTube re-upload at ~14h45 by LLoL; playback confirmed in non-Safari browsers.

  2. Dung-beetle blog post framing review + structural fixes. Identified that source/blog/posts/2026-05-21-prophetic-dung-beetle.rst set up the dung-ball metaphor beautifully but never landed the practical ask (AuditTheMath not mentioned; no concrete call-to-action). Applied structural fixes (see below); voice-tweak proposals flagged as RST comments and later applied by LLoL.

  3. Launch infrastructure scaffolding. Created AuditTheMath landing page, Matheo overview placeholder, ~40 Cloudflare _redirects permutation rules for the three new vanity URLs.

Decisions made today — audit trail#

URL layout for new landing pages#

  • AuditTheMath landing: /en/action/audit-the-math/

Why under /action/: fits existing IA hub pattern (call/, jobs/, newsletter/, socialmedia/, …). Short vanity forms (/audit, /AuditTheMath, etc.) redirect here via _redirects.

Alternative considered: top-level /audit-the-math/. Rejected for IA tidiness; trivial to relocate later if launch-marketing prefers a top-level URL.

  • Matheo overview placeholder: /en/study/matheo/

Why: LLoL-proposed location in the launch-sequence prompt; placeholder index.rst lists b11b21 with current stability tags. Not authoritative until the series stabilises.

  • Buy-In: existing /en/buy-in/ retained; only permutation redirects added (no page edits).

Cloudflare _redirects choices#

  • All new rules use 302 (temporary), per the file’s existing convention for “targets that may change.”

  • Permutations cover case variations (/AuditTheMath, /auditthemath, /AUDITTHEMATH, …), separator variations (-, _, none), and a few /en/ prefix variants for the most common short forms.

  • File comment added: # fragments are client-side only and cannot be matched server-side — they resolve as anchors on the landing page once IDs exist.

  • /atm claimed for AuditTheMath despite collision with the generic “ATM” acronym — this is LLoL’s site, LLoL’s call.

  • /donate and /gofundme route to /buy-in/ (where the GoFundMe funnel will be described per the SD3a/SD3b supporting-doc framework from the Good News Pack).

Dung-beetle blog post — structural edits applied#

File: source/blog/posts/2026-05-21-prophetic-dung-beetle.rst

Structural fixes by dv_ClaOp47Max:

  • Video iframe added (responsive 16:9, YouTube ID 5pzzULREr1w).

  • All 6 ``LINK`` placeholders replaced with proper :doc: refs (Good News Pack, Flying Scroll, Open Letters, Matheo overview, AuditTheMath landing, Buy-In).

  • 9 broken inline-link syntaxes fixed (missing space before <URL> in standard Title <URL> RST hyperlink form).

  • AuditTheMath call-to-action section inserted after the closing prayer block, before the Latin coda. Three asks:

    • read & respond

    • share with one expert

    • sustain the work (links to Buy-In)

  • Storage-units LINK left as RST TODO comment — no destination page exists yet; decision deferred (see Stretch goals below).

Voice-tweak proposals flagged as RST comments (per LLoL’s “structural-only; flag voice tweaks as comments” instruction). LLoL subsequently applied all three and removed the flag comments:

Original

LLoL’s applied phrasing

ground-breaking analyses

what I take to be ground-breaking analyses

``hold the key to averting accidental

``are worth taking seriously as a credible,

nuclear winter and to introduce world

workable candidate path away from today’s

peace``

nuclear roulette … toward a fundamentally more peaceful world``

AI Claude's analyses support this

an AI capable of catching common errors has not, in extended interaction, found a fatal flaw

LLoL also removed the post’s “video still transcoding” admonition after confirming the YouTube embed plays in a non-Safari browser. (Safari-specific failure noted but not investigated; likely a client-side cache or codec quirk, not a server-side issue.)

Toctree additions#

  • source/action/index.rst: audit-the-math/index added to the hidden toctree.

  • source/study/index.rst: /study/matheo/index added to the hidden toctree at line 1778.

Build outcome: make dev succeeded with 40 warnings, all pre-existing (duplicate labels between aaa.rst and study/index.rst; orphan b19/b21 docs; one missing study_ll_2026m04d18_sgir-paper-review-llog). None of today’s edits added warnings.

Recommendations from Claude — pending LLoL decision#

  1. @JoanOf YouTube channel & tongues-prayer videos. LLoL’s default (iii) — implicit discovery via channel browsing rather than explicit foregrounding — judged correct on three grounds:

    • no deception (channel is public; dung-beetle link surfaces it)

    • sequencing protects the AuditTheMath audience (mathematicians, epidemiologists, policymakers) from a front-loaded filter they did not ask for

    • the dung-beetle frame already pre-loads “I am imperfect; audit the math”, so channel-browsing discovery feels consistent rather than surprising

Refinement: ensure the @JoanOf channel link is on a durable surface of balospe.com (footer / About / contact) — preempts any “concealment” framing by hostile critics. Acts-17 “Unknown God” framing handles theological cross-currents elegantly.

  2. YouTube video description + tags drafted. 12 focused tags recommended over 30+ scattered ones (YouTube algorithm penalises keyword stuffing; 500-char hard limit anyway). Description front-loads 150-char hook; three deep-link blocks (/matheo, /audit-the-math, /buy-in) follow. Specific draft in conversation transcript.

  3. B18 launch-unit integration review prompt drafted for a future max-effort EDEN session covering dung-beetle post + b18 Call-to-Action papers + AuditTheMath landing + Buy-In as a single coherent launch unit. Prompt includes a hard scope-fence to prevent perfectionism-spiral. Pending LLoL approval before saving as a separate prompt file.

Stretch goals — launch-sprint backlog#

Hard blockers remaining (Tier 1):

  1. Home-page triage so a first-time visitor’s 3 questions resolve in one click each: what is this / what do you want from me / where do I read the math.

  2. b18 papers: pick one of mmv1/mmv2 as the launch version; finalise it; archive the loser. Finishing touches + review pending per LLoL.

  3. Title-footnote back-port from b19/b21 conventions to the other Matheo papers (last step before each paper reaches OO-stability).

Launch-improving (Tier 2):

  • FAQ ship-version (5–8 entries) — the dung-beetle post itself generates the first 3 FAQs.

  • Two Matheo papers OO-polished as exemplars; banner remaining MM papers “draft, audit welcome.”

  • Storage-units page (or replacement contact mechanism) for the 11 Wisconsin storage units — currently RST TODO comment inside the dung-beetle post’s closing prayer.

Open BABL Danger watch#

One BABL-Danger candidate raised in conversation and worth keeping in this audit trail:

The launch itself is the BABL-Danger. Existential framing (“save the world from accidental nuclear winter”) breeds endless polishing; “one more pass” becomes the trap. The dung-beetle post’s own metaphor is the permission-slip to launch with imperfections — but only if LLoL takes that permission. The right defense is the dung-beetle’s own approach: roll the imperfect ball, get knocked over, get up, roll on. Lines 340–347 of the post are the self-test.

Append — 2026m05d22, later same day#

LLoL approved saving the launch-unit EDEN review prompt as a standalone artifact. It now lives at:

b19 — Launch-unit EDEN review prompt: dung-beetle + b18 + AuditTheMath + Buy-In

(file: source/matheology/hell/ll/infra/b/19/b19-launch-unit-eden-review-prompt_v1_2026m05d22.rst)

The original “pending LLoL approval” status under Recommendations from Claude is now superseded by this append.
