The Jubilee System#
The Jubilee System is a cyclical 50-year renewal process described in the biblical book of Revelation. It builds on ancient wisdom — particularly the Jubilee traditions of Leviticus — and integrates modern scientific thinking to offer a practical framework for stabilizing innovation and averting self-made existential threats.
Revelation as innovation algorithm#
The book of Revelation is widely read as a divine doomsday clock — an unavoidable bloodbath of retribution on Judgement Day. Many devout readers see it this way, and they are not entirely wrong. But this blood-drenched reading misses something essential.
Revelation appears to be the most elaborate Rorschach test ever devised. What you see in it reveals as much about your own assumptions as it does about the text itself.
Beneath the apocalyptic imagery, Revelation maps out divine innovation algorithms — systematic processes for rescuing the world from its worst outcomes by learning from Reality, much as scientists do at their best.
It can be shown that the doomsday algorithms unmasked by Revelation will cause humanity to self-destruct. But it can also be shown that the Jubilee algorithms mapped out in Revelation offer a workable path forward: cyclical renewal built on ancient wisdom and modern science.
Why Revelation?
For secular readers: you don’t need to accept Revelation as divinely inspired to find value in its structure. The claim here is analytical — that Revelation encodes a sophisticated algorithm for managing innovation cycles, and that this algorithm can be evaluated on its own merits regardless of one’s theological commitments.
The doomsday alternative#
Revelation presents humanity with a stark choice:
Letting itself drift to a then-inevitable fate of self-destruction — the passive path of inaction and denial.
Embarking on a hero journey to find a workable destiny — which requires establishing trusted resources for helping people navigate challenges that have known solutions.
The doomsday path is not a divine punishment imposed from outside. It is the natural consequence of humanity’s own decision-making patterns left unchecked. The Jubilee System is the alternative.

The Lazy Updating connection#
By accident or divine providence, LLoL’s earlier research led his lab to produce a 2014 paper that happens to encode the core mathematics required for evaluating the efficiency of diverse organizational implementations of potential Jubilee Systems. Only in 2024, by what LLoL describes as a special grace of God, did he realize how the Lazy Updating algorithm he had defined ten years earlier was a crucial missing link for organizing a proper Great Jubilee Race — where different nations and organizations compete to deliver the most efficient and effective way to organize a Jubilee.
As history shows, humanity has been skipping nearly 70 Jubilee-organizing cycles, apparently meant to help prepare for a final reckoning at humanity’s Great Filter. Relevant expertise is therefore scarce. The mathematical foundation provided by the Lazy Updating algorithm offers a way to evaluate competing implementations rigorously.
