LLog: Document Beginnings Template Proposal + CLAUDE.md VVN Reference (2026m04d20_03h38)
****************************************************************************************************

Session producing a three-template proposal for document beginnings: front-facing
pages (existing), Matheo series papers (new, arxiv-ready), and back-end expert
docs (new, llogs/prompts/design docs).

1. Verbatim Prompt
=====================

.. container:: verbatim-prompt

"Please add the line ' VVN composition follows AHA/vvn-composition.md.
Always use full content-prefix + StabilityCodeVRP form. ' to claude.md
   - and note that I made some edits to the file to correct some important
issues. --- There is already a page-template.md and
page-template-to-instantiate-copy.rst in the AHA folder, but these are
for full-blown front-facing rst pages. I recognize that I may need
something slightly different for llogs or prompt-files and other
back-end documentation files that serve more expert documenting tasks
than beginner or producer audiences who get the finished product pages.
   - Can you propose something different, especially something that would
work for all the papers in the matheo series, so that they can become
reasonable headers for what I can use to produce arxiv upload ready
PDFs? --- For example, the titles should be meaninful and never
contain timestamp info; a VVN (Hu): should be reserved for me to
assign, a VVN (Ma) should be there, where YOU, Claude, assign the
stability you deem this code to have, Most of the other notes clutter
should either become some small footnote to not get in the way; then
there should be either a section on Broader Significance and then an
Abstract (or the other way round if you think that's better). The
other notes maybe shall be underneath that (or be at the end of the
file after the Acknowledgements). have a look at the SGIR paper for a
tentative example of what might work. Then come up with a proposal for
what you think would work best for most audiences. Let me know who
might want which type of (Human-readable) header for which type of
file to keep this complex website organized."

2. LLoL's Edits to AHA/vvn-composition.md (Acknowledged)
================================================================

LLoL made several important corrections to the AHA doc I wrote earlier:

- **Regime definitions rewritten:**
``dv`` = **developer versioning** (any developer's ad hoc assessment of
the quality of their work); ``iv`` = **ijtihad versioning** (a dedicated
regime for work towards long-term stability). My original (mistakenly
imported from a different convention) called them "dependent variable"
  and "independent variable" --- wrong.

- **Additional effort tiers added:** ``ClaOp47xHi`` and ``ClaOp47Hi``
  were missing from my draft.

- **StabilityCode controlled vocabulary expanded with meanings:**

  - ``NN`` = NimbleNonsense (major transition variant that does not work
at the moment but hopefully will later)
  - ``OO`` = OperatesOddly (minimal viable product)
  - ``PP`` = PathProbing (long march from MVP to covering all features
    a monopoly solution would need)
  - ``QQ`` = QualityQuest (systematic analysis of quarrels and quandaries
a monopoly would miss without proper review)
  - ``RR`` = ReviewedRelease (top level for this site)

- **Filename-vs-inline section clarified** with "focus on content / date /
writer / stability" cases and instruction to ASK when unclear.

- **bugc103 reference added** for the llog-VVN inconsistency discussion.

- **Self-check rule 2 tightened:** ``iv`` is ONLY for LLoL; Claude always
  uses ``dv``.

**Memory entry unchanged** --- the memory points to the AHA doc as
authoritative, so LLoL's corrections automatically propagate.

**Errors in my original draft flagged for the audit trail:** I imported
the wrong meaning for ``dv`` / ``iv`` (dependent/independent variable
from statistics, not developer/ijtihad from the project convention).
LLoL caught and corrected. HUMANE-protocol-working transparency.

3. Output This Session
=========================

- **New:** ``AHA/document-beginnings.md`` (three-template proposal:
  front-facing / Matheo paper / back-end expert).
- **Modified:** ``CLAUDE.md`` (one-line addition pointing to
  ``AHA/vvn-composition.md``).
- **This llog.**

4. Three-Template Proposal (Summary)
========================================

**Template A --- Front-Facing Content Pages (EXISTING).**
Governed by ``AHA/page-template.md`` and ``page-template-to-instantiate-copy.rst``.
Heavy SEO metadata, social cards, footer forms. First paragraph is
SEO-critical. For beginner/producer audiences reading finished product pages.

**Template B --- Matheo Series Papers (NEW).**
Clean academic structure. No metadata clutter at top. Title meaningful,
never timestamp. Authors + institutions + email at top, draft + supplementary
info as short lines below. Abstract → Broader Significance → Introduction.
Body. Acknowledgements → References → Notes (closed dropdown with VVN (Hu),
VVN (Ma), tracking). Arxiv-upload-ready PDFs. For mixed audiences:
arxiv readers, peer reviewers, general readers via balospe.com.

**Template C --- Back-End Expert Docs (NEW).**
Minimal top (title + 1--2 line context + TOC). Body starts immediately.
Notes section at the end carries all VVN metadata, companion-file links,
verbatim trigger prompts, EDEN classifications. For llogs, prompts,
design docs (GG, DD), reviews, KBs. For LLoL + Claude audit trail and
expert reference.

Full details in ``AHA/document-beginnings.md``.

6. Key Design Decisions (Rationale)
========================================

6.1 Title: meaningful, NEVER contain timestamp
--------------------------------------------------

LLoL directive: confirmed. The **filename** carries the timestamp
(following VVN convention); the **title** inside the file names the
content only. Readers of a rendered PDF should not see timestamp
clutter in the title.

6.2 VVN (Hu) and VVN (Ma) separation
----------------------------------------

New convention:

- ``VVN (Hu):`` = the VVN LLoL assigns (Hu = Human). Records LLoL's
  independent stability assessment. Regime ``iv``.
- ``VVN (Ma):`` = the VVN Claude assigns (Ma = Machine). Records
  Claude's self-assessment. Regime ``dv``.

Both can coexist on the same document. They track independent
assessments. The existing VVN composition rules apply to both.

6.3 Abstract vs Broader Significance order (recommended: Abstract first)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My recommendation: **Abstract first, then Broader Significance.**

Reasoning:

- Arxiv convention places Abstract first; readers know where to find
it; peer reviewers expect it where they expect it.
- Broader Significance complements, doesn't replace. A general reader
can skip the Abstract (or skim) and read BS; a technical reader can
skim BS and read the Abstract.
- The alternative order (BS first) is reasonable too. Some journals
(PNAS, Nature) put Significance Statement before Abstract. But for
balospe.com the arxiv-convention choice keeps papers compatible with
the arxiv-upload workflow LLoL stated as a goal.

**Fallback:** If any specific paper's editor requests reversed order
(BS first), swap them without restructuring.

6.4 Notes clutter at the end
-------------------------------

All non-essential metadata (VVNs, effort level, mode, companion files,
trigger prompt, etc.) goes to a **Notes** section at the very end,
AFTER Acknowledgements and References. This is:

- **Discoverable:** Readers looking for VVN find it in a predictable
  place.
- **Unobtrusive:** Readers reading the paper for content don't have to
  scroll past metadata.
- **Collapsible (optional):** Using ``.. dropdown::`` keeps it visually
  light.

6.5 Back-end docs also put Notes at the end
------------------------------------------------

Same principle for Template C. The content (verbatim prompts, analysis,
decisions) is the valuable part; metadata is reference material.

----

7. EDEN Classification
=========================

**Green Meadow #2.** Many concrete template structures would work for
each of Templates A, B, C. The specific choices in the proposal are one
reasonable path; LLoL can adjust individual elements without breaking
the overall architecture. No BABL traps identified. No HUMANE warnings
this session beyond the self-reported error about ``dv`` / ``iv``
meaning in the earlier AHA draft (corrected by LLoL, noted in §2).

----

8. Summary
=============

**Requested and delivered:**

1. **Line added to CLAUDE.md** pointing to ``AHA/vvn-composition.md``.
2. **Acknowledged LLoL's edits** to the AHA doc (regime redefinitions,
expanded stability vocabulary, filename-vs-inline nuance, bugc103
   reference, tighter self-check).
3. **New AHA doc:** ``AHA/document-beginnings.md`` with three
   templates:

   - A (front-facing, existing)
   - B (Matheo papers, new, arxiv-ready)
   - C (back-end expert, new)
4. **Audience-to-template map** (who needs what).
5. **Design rationale** for title rule, VVN (Hu)/(Ma) separation,
   Abstract+BS order, Notes-at-end pattern.

**Not yet done (deferred for LLoL decision):**

- Applying Template B to existing Matheo papers (b11 through b18).
  Proposal needs LLoL approval first.
- Creating ``page-template-to-instantiate-copy.rst`` equivalents for
Templates B and C (copy-paste-ready instantiation files). If LLoL
approves the template structures, I can create these.
- Updating the existing SGIR paper (which is close to Template B
already) with VVN (Hu) / VVN (Ma) split in a trailing Notes section.
