This is the **wrap-up (W)**: turn that pile into a clean, citable, **front-facing** series for launch — navigable chooser pages, a public overview table, and a **one-time local build of official MMv5 download PDFs** wired to download links. PDFs are never built by the official `make`/CI (HTML-only); they are pre-built, committed artifacts. Mode EDEN, Effort Max. **EDEN: Grey Edge** — one plausible life-path; BABL risks managed: (a) silent abstract drift → *script-extract* every abstract verbatim; (b) premature closure / quote-mine of unfinished + sensitive pieces → a **two-tier model** that keeps them reachable-but-not-promoted, off the public tables entirely. ## Two tiers (the core model) - **OFFICIAL release (29 files).** Promoted: in the public index table + chooser pages + nav toctrees + MMv5-PDF download links. `:orphan:` removed. b18 official = **a-adult, a-easy, d-math** only. - **UMBILICAL / reachable-not-promoted (4 files):** **b18b-form** (candidacy) + **b18c-expert / b18c-teach / b18c-intro** (eschatology trio). PDFs built + placed (reachable); pages kept `:orphan:`; **NOT** in the public index table, choosers, or nav. Listed only in the floor-plan HTML (after Table 1 and before the datageddon of Table 2) as direct links, framed with a title like live-birth - umbilical-cord/provenance: *reachable, not part of the official MMv5 release yet, but still in the works, hence not promoted.* Find clear words to make sure everyone understands "... there be dragons". The OFFICIAL↔UMBILICAL switch per file stays open till the last minute. - Rationale: aligns with keeping intense eschatology/self-positioning off the public funnel; and removing them from the public tables shrinks the Caution-1 "hostile scanner reads tables" residual to direct-URL-guessing. ## Decisions locked with LLoL - **PDF date-strip = output FILENAME timestamp only** → stable `.pdf`. No in-PDF header/metadata change. **Do NOT modify `make pdf`** (keeps its timestamp); the automation calls it and renames the *copy*. - **Two risks, two mitigations, no substitution (Caution 1).** Incompleteness → the reachable-not-promoted framing/warning. Misread/quote-mine-as-status → each paper's own **"what this is / is not" frame** (b18b abstract leads with "a candidacy, not a claim of office"; b18c carries its own framing). Keep both. Accepted eyes-open residual: direct-URL reach remains; carried by the in-page frame + pending adversarial review. - When it says below "include abstract" for the b## index pages, extract the "Broader Significance" and "Abstract" from the papers AS IS and include them in the same sequence after the title (by also saying **Broader Significance** and **Abstract** to identify both; do not worry about length. The b## index pages are not meant to be tables; a nicely presented sequential layout likely works better here.) - **Automation = `make matheo-pdf` → `tools/build-matheo-pdfs.sh`** (uncluttered Makefile; `matheo-pdf` ≠ the `pdf-%` pattern). Two-mode: `OFFICIAL` (29) + `HELD` (4) arrays, both built+placed; `--official-only` skips HELD; prints each file's tier. Add the versioning paramter to the call (eg MMv5 here) - PDF storage `source/_file/pdf/matheo/mmv5/.pdf`; served at `/_file/pdf/matheo/mmv5/.pdf`. Download-link label **"MMv5 PDF"**. ## Floor-plan HTML — default chosen (edit here to change) **`./html/matheo-floor-plan-table-mmv5.html` (rename from `./matheo-floor-plan-table.html` ) is repo-local produced AND served on the web as static asset (not compiled by rst).** **Default = surface the raw datageddon/HELL trace on the public site, because that is the umbilical cord of provenance that links the polished files to their raw origins. THERFORE to make sure there are no misunderstandings, make clear in the ONE link (to be underneath the big index table at /study/matheo/index), that This is an umbilical cord to the messy raw data that helped produced the relatively polished (but not perfect) files in the table above. Thereby the transparency requirement is met for those who hope to dig in deeper (past a suitable waring that "... there be dragons"; it's called HELL for a reason, because it has tons of Historically Explored Lessons Learned) Please also add a note of caution, that this html file is best explored in a local repository clone (because then most of the links will work). What you don't need to spell out is that THIS SAME FILE has that explicit umbilical cord section (see above), which Links DIRECTLY to the orphaned HTML and the otherwise unreachable PDF of the files made reachable but not "visible". Thereby the 4 umbilical files (say "in the process of being born") stay web-reachable by direct URL; the HTML's umbilical links use live `https://balospe.com/…` URLs so you can click through to the reachable pages + PDFs. *To change:* provide a make-file switch like '--no-umbilical-cord-for "List Of FileIDs"' to suppress the inclusion of these immature "beta-files" and a switch '--no-umbilical-cord-html' for suppressing any links to the static html file. To web-serve the htmls desired, add a `html_extra_path` line for the "./html/" location above in `conf.py` (then the main-index link resolves on the web, and the raw trace + umbilical links sit one click from the front page). To highlight files as introductory or otherwise to help newcomers, provide a switch like '--introfiles = "FileIDs, in-recommended-sequence, for-highlighting-above-the-table". I may have said this already, but make sure you include a make-file switch like '--floorstability=MMv5' in the make file defs, to pass on the MMv5 stability rating to all dependent code. ## Part A — HTML assembly (DD b15 §9) One-shot **Python generator** reads each source file and copies its **title + Abstract verbatim** (no retyping → no drift). No changes to the matheo-study rst files. Keep the official FileID at hand (but not "in your face" distracting). 1. **11 × `source/study/matheo/bNN/index.rst` choosers.** Per type: short-label (=FileID) + linked title + abstract, (rows...) ordered **formal/math → intro → others**; each entry gets a **"Download: MMv5 PDF"** link; navigatable local `toctree` of the type-files (de-orphans them). This toctree visibility is only for the "Visible" files, ie. those that are not in the "umbilical cord" (defined as reachable but not visible). Therefore, for example, the b18 chooser lists only the 3 official b18 entries (a-adult, a-easy, d-math) but not those in the umbilical cord (b18b, b18c x3). No umbilical files in any chooser. 2. **Rewrite `source/study/matheo/index.rst`.** On-ramp recommends as '--introfiles = "b11-why-matheo, b11-intro-pet"', showing title and abstract, then the **official** public table **#, FileID, Audience, Title, PDF** (29 rows in this case (i.e. no umbilical files here, but intro files are also listed in the table); PDF = MMv5-PDF link, where MMv5 (size) is the visible text clicked to point to the PDF and size gives the size of the PDF in as (x KB) or (x MB), Audience (for now) merely extracts the file type (form, math, intro, ...); further refinements in a future update of the scripts. Title is always the full title and should link to the HTML variant of the text. FileID also links to the HTML variant. Underneath the table is that small section described above, starting with "**Umbilical Cord** to the messy origins of these files. (add a reasonably short description of dangers of looking at old raw buggy code and end with) You have been warned ... there be dragons." Then list the link to the html floorplan file as "MMv5 dragons", which represents the small provenance pointer to `matheo-floor-plan-table.html` (to be included as decided above). Then the `toctree` of the 11 choosers (including the respective sub-pages for each of the bNN paper classes). End that page with the usual FF... footer as described in the AHA page template and Lastly, choose well-chosen social card texts for mathematical theology in general (e.g. the series in a nutshell ... dive here into the details... or some better version to be highlighted to LLoL for review after all is done). Above each table/list: please add a clear text explanation above each file list in each chooser with MM files and in the index file table to explain the meaning of MM=MockupModel: "**How to use:** The files below are **MockupModels** = **MM**. Their maturity approximates that of a newborn baby that still has a lot of growing up and surviving to do before it can leave its current helpless state by growing into someone who can do "useful" things. This baby feeds on constructive criticism; flattery is like sugar: nice but mostly useless; killing a baby is easy, raising it to become a responsible adult is hard. LLoL got these files so far. But to raise a responsible mathematical theology that takes a world. As they say, it takes a global village to raise a child." 3. **`source/index.rst`** — add `Matheo Study Series ` to **The Solution** right after `./good-news-pack/index`. 4. **De-orphan**: strip `:orphan:` from the **29 official** papers. **Keep `:orphan:`** on the **4 umbilical** files. 5. **`matheo-floor-plan-table-mmv5.html`** — mark "poured & assembled" (flip DRAFT/"not yet executed" + "DD b15 to be written"); Include a note at the bottom describing the script-FileID and name and version. Extract the b18c and b18b rows ("umbilical") from Table 1 ; **add, after Table 1, an "Umbilical-cord — reachable, not promoted" block** that repeats all the warnings from the main page about "... there be dragons" before listing the 4 umbilical files as lines (with all elements that would be in a row in the table 1 above, including direct live-URL links to each page + its MMv5 PDF, plus extra framing notes (incompleteness + the "what this is/is not" frame; has not seen sufficient adversarial review to be included in the table above). Then leave the Table 2 below "as is" as the "datageddon from which the files above were extracted". 6. **`aaa.rst`** — In the so far official aaa.rst add a floorstability=MMv5 pointer to the assembled `/study/matheo/index` floor + one prompt-tracker row for the b34 batch (not a table duplicate), and a link to the prompts and scripts that produced the cleaned up files. Also include a link to this HEAVEN HELL aaa.rst in the matheo floor plan at the very bottom for those who want to see even more. ## Part B — Official MMv5 download PDFs (one-time local, two-mode) - **`scripts/build-matheo-pdfs.sh`** (new): per FileID, `rm -rf build/latex` → `make pdf SECTION=study/matheo/bNN/` (unmodified) → copy newest `build/pdf/_BalospeCom_*.pdf` → `source/_file/pdf/matheo/mmv5/.pdf` (clean name = the only date-strip). Ensure that the official floorstability=MMv5 (=mmv5 within filenames) is included within the final FileID, but that other timestamping etc is not. `OFFICIAL` (29) + `HELD` (4) arrays, both built+placed; `--official-only`; per-paper failures reported; re-runnable. - **Makefile**: add `matheo-pdf:` = `@bash scripts/build-matheo-pdfs.sh` (+ `.PHONY`); does not touch `pdf`/`pdf-%`. - **`AHA/matheo-series-pdf.md`** (new): `make matheo-pdf`; explain all details of its use: (see above) and filename-only date-strip rationale; the **two-tier model** (official vs umbilical/reachable-not-promoted) and why it is the anti-BABL choice (transparent, no premature closure); the two-risks/two-mitigations rule + accepted residual; **how to promote a file** (move array entry + add to table/chooser + drop `:orphan:`); output location; the "big exception" to PDFs-not-in-CI. Cross-link from `AHA/build-targets.md` + `AHA/pdf-generation.md`. - Eventually: create a special script for promoting an umbilical cord file to its proper floor destination. Note this as a task in the AHA with all details needed to do this, but don't execute this now (unless trivial), because there is currently no time to debug such a script. - Risk: ~33 lualatex compiles ≈ 15–45 min (background; per-paper failure report). Papers were already `make pdf`-built during the pour → low risk. ## Part C — Build, verify, audit - `make clean && make dev`; report the **warning delta** vs the captured baseline (new chooser/index pages must add zero new warnings; PDF links raw → unchecked; umbilical `:orphan:` pages with no toctree → warning-free). - Append execution + EDEN result + summary to the wrap-up llog `…/hell/ll/infra/b/34/b34-floor-pour-wrapup-llog_2026m05d29_09h10.rst` (append-only); mark batch prompt **W** done. ## Files - **New**: 11 choosers; `scripts/build-matheo-pdfs.sh`; `AHA/matheo-series-pdf.md`; 33 PDFs in `source/_file/pdf/matheo/mmv5/` (29 official + 4 umbilical). - **Rewrite**: `source/study/matheo/index.rst` (but rename the old copy as HH-index-TIMESTAMP.rst and move it to the HH folder outside of "source" for review by LLoL before LLoL will delete it.) - **Edit**: `source/index.rst`; `Makefile` (+`matheo-pdf`); the floor-plan HTML; `aaa.rst`; 29 papers (strip `:orphan:`); the wrap-up llog (append); `AHA/build-targets.md` + `AHA/pdf-generation.md` (cross-link). (Possibly `conf.py` to allow web-serve of the html floor plan.) ## Flags for LLoL 1. **b18b and b18c ×3 leave the official tier** (incl. the gentle general-audience b18c-intro) — per your b18b and "all three" of b18c. Easy to promote the intro later if you want a public eschatology on-ramp. == OK by LLoL: these 4 go in the umbilical cord for now. 2. **Full verbatim abstracts** on choosers; b19-form's is long (~10 paragraphs) — kept in full (solo-paper page). == OK by LLoL, see comment about including Broader Significance statements before abstracts. 3. **Two pour-authored abstracts** (`b11-why-matheo`, `b12-intro`) carry "please check" notes — surfaced for review. == OK for now by LLoL, given that all this is MMv5; as defined above: please add a clear note above each file list on choosers and in index an explanation of the meaning of MM=MockupModel, which can be thought of as a newborn baby that still has a lot of growing up and surviving to do before it has grown from its current helpless state into someone who can do "useful" things. 4. Chooser abstract cleanups (cite apparatus stripped, `|times|`→×) are mechanical; the papers are untouched (pre-existing `:cite:`Matheo-N`` instances in the abstracts replace by html links to the respective chooser.rst page). 5. `study/matheo/index` sits in **two toctrees** (source/index + study/index) — Sphinx allows it; this nav duplication is wanted by LLoL. ## Verification 1. `make clean && make dev` → ~0 new warnings; sidebar shows b11–b21 expandable; choosers list official papers formal-first w/ abstracts + MMv5-PDF links; index shows on-ramp + 29-row official table + provenance pointer; "Matheo Study Series" under The Solution. The 4 umbilical pages still build + are reachable by URL; none appear in public tables. 2. `make matheo-pdf` → 33 clean-named PDFs in `_file/pdf/matheo/mmv5/`; spot-open b11-intro + b19 + one umbilical PDF (titlepage/figures, no filename timestamp). 3. Floor-plan HTML shows the umbilical block with working live links to the 4 reachable files; official download links resolve after a dev build. ## AA TODO later (note in scripts and AHA...) 1. Test Re-runs of `make matheo-pdf` → identical clean filenames (stable links); promoting a file tier↔tier is a small documented edit. Goal: offer reliable functionality for re-compiling the latest updates of all Matheo papers. ==> add to an AA list of Matheology compilers to be fleshed out.
